Cats Protection, Protect stray cat protect
our wildlife
There are an estimated 30-50 million feral cats (cats born in the
wild) in the United States. These cats are the offspring of domestic
cats that were either abandoned or lost, and not neutered/spayed.
They can be found in parks, forests, behind restaurants and business.
Feral cats do not have an easy life. Most have a life span of about
2-3 years and can die horrible deaths from starvation, getting hit
by cars or being eaten by other wild animals. A great number of
cats also die by contracting diseases such as leukemia, FIV, FIP,
respiratory infections and others. |
