Somali cat food
A Somali's coat is fine, flat, and silky with the longest hair on the stomach, neck and breeches (hind legs). Somalis have distinctive fluffy tails. Like Abyssinians, Somalis' coats are an agouti pattern, meaning hair color alternates between two colors and the tips of each hair is ticked (tipped) a certain color. Four agouti colors are allowed: ruddy (reddish-brown with black ticking), red or sorrel (deep auburn with chocolate brown ticking). Blue (grayish blue with creamy stomachs and slate blue ticking) and fawn (a rosy beige with dark beige ticking) are more rare. Blues and fawns cost more too. Don't be alarmed when you see kittens whose coloring isn't quite as vivid as their parents'. The ticking pattern can take up to 18 months to develop.
Somalis have green or gold eyes, which are almond shaped and expressive. Their ears are large and alert, and their chins are rounded.
The temperament of these cats is intelligent, inquisitive and companionable - a perfect family pet.
